Control your jewel

Check that the locking systems work perfectly.

Check that the stones are properly held. To do this, run your finger gently over the stones. If they move, it is necessary to have the setting checked by our jewelers.

Everyday wear

Avoid contact with water and cosmetic products.

Do not wear the jewelry while engaging in physical activities to avoid shocks and scratches.

Avoid wearing the jewelry while engaging in activities requiring the use of corrosive products (gardening, cleaning, dishwashing. ...), so as not to damage the stones that adorn your jewelry.

Do not expose the jewelry to high heat: temperature differences can irreversibly damage the gems.

Maintenance and cleaning

The stones can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a small soft brush or damp cloth. Then rinse and dry them thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Confirm your jewelry at a Poiray boutique for periodic inspection and professional cleaning.

Daily wear of watches

Avoid wearing a bracelet on the same wrist.

Do not wear the watch while sleeping and during physical activities to avoid shocks and scratches.

Do not expose the watch to high heat which may damage the gaskets or bracelet.

Keep the watch away from any magnetic source that may affect the proper functioning of the movement.

Maintenance and cleaning of watch bands and straps

Clean your watch with a soft, dry cloth, paying particular attention to the strap.

BRACELET WATCHES IN SELFISHED VEAL:

Leather is a material that ages naturally over time. To preserve it, we recommend that you avoid contact with water and cosmetics.

BRANCH WATCHS IN VERNIS, SATIN OR COARSE LEATHER:

Gently rub your bracelet using a soft cloth.

BRANCH WATCHS IN EXOTIC LEATHER (ALLIGATOR, LEZARD, AUTRUCHE OR MATELASSE RABBIT):

Gently rub your bracelet using a soft cloth.

METAL BRACELET WATCH:

Clean with a soft bristle brush soaked in warm, soapy, PH-neutral water, then rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.

GENTLE WATCH BEADS:

Gently rub your bracelet using a soft cloth. Avoid contact with water.

Maintenance of the watch movement

Our quartz watches run on a battery with an average life of 2 years.

We recommend that you never leave a used battery in your watch as this may damage the movement due to oxidation.

The replacement of the battery in your watch should be entrusted to a Poiray boutique or to our after-sales service.

Water resistance of watches

All Poiray steel watches have a water resistance of 5 ATM while gold watches have a water resistance of 3 ATM.

A watch that is water resistant to 30 meters (3 ATM) does not allow for any immersion and can only withstand occasional splashes.

A watch waterproof to 50 meters (5 ATM) allows for immersion with calm and moderate use (swimming pool without diving, for example).

We advise, however, to take off one's watch before swimming.

The gaskets must imperatively be replaced every 2 years maximum. Only the Poiray after-sales service is able to perform this work.

Watch storage

When not wearing your watch, we recommend storing it in its original case to protect it from bumps and scratches.
